Just heard about this via email from Burt Lum, of Bytemarks fame. Note that I normally do not post events that have a registration fee, unless the event seems particularly pertinent to our readers (which I think this is) and/or the fee is not being used for commercial ventures (they specifically state it is to cover the cost of renting the facility, materials and lunch - all reasonable).

Overview
The WordPress Boot Camp is an intense, full day workshop on building a web site. Starting at the beginning, ending up with promotion and covering all the essentials between. Instruction will cover HTML, cascading style sheets, image handling and search engines. Special attention will be devoted to using WordPress as a content management system and its use of PHP and MySQL.
Students are encouraged to bring their laptops as training will be live and hands-on.
Registration will be required and class size is limited to 18. Fees are to cover the cost of the facility rental, class materials and lunch.
