Do you struggle within finding the optimal development environment for you or your team? If you have ample hardware, leveraging the improvements in Windows Server 2008, along with Hyper-V virtualization, may prove to be the best infrastructure to date.

This talk will introduce Windows Server 2008 and Hyper-V technologies from the standpoint of building .NET applications. We will discuss 32 vs 64 bit; virtualization benefits and the Hyper-V improvements over Virtual PC and Virtual Server 2005; and why Windows Server 2008 might be a better host operating system when compared to Vista/XP.

While this talk will contain lecture and some demo, it will be more peer-to-peer discussion than we normally have. Bring your ideas and questions, and let’s discuss them as a group.

As always, free pizza, drinks and door prizes will be given away. Hope to see you there.
